NOT FOR WINDOWS XP! This is a plug-in for Winamp (www.winamp.com). When executed (from winamp) it will display nifty effects in the title-bar of the active window (if the active window has a title-bar). Take a look at the title bars in the images to the left. It also briefly displays the song title when Winamp loads a new file.
Of coarse, Microsoft does not advise drawing in the title bar of other windows, This can cause a conflict if the window in question is attempting to draw it's own custom title-bar, or with system wide window frame customization programs, such as Window Blinds (www.windowblinds.net) (in fact, Window Blinds users should probably not use this program). (Please excuse all the parenthesis, (I've been coding a lot.))
In any case, here it is. I have been testing and it seems to run well, no crashes yet. Ocasionally, it will draw an incorrect icon in the title bar, or none at all. I may fix this later. Anyway, care to give it a spin? Just run the above installation executable and off she goes...
Make sure you extract the dll file into your Winamp plugin's directory. For information on how to use Winamp plugins, go to http://www.winamp.com. |
